A little over 12 months ago The Five of Nine Club was officially launched at the Annual Meeting of Provincial Grand Lodge by RWBro David F Macey, Warwickshire's Provincial Grand Master and the Clubs Patron. This was the clubs birth, but of course, not its inception.
On the months leading up to the launch a committee was assembled, regular meetings were taking place and a plan for a fun and interesting club for Warwickshire's New and Young Freemasons was being formed.
Indeed, the committee were very modest about membership uptake. Initial thoughts were that around 25 brethren would sign up in the first 12 months. So, it comes as a great surprise and honour that the club can now announce that they have exceeded that, in fact, that target has been completely smashed. This week the 100th member joined the Five of Nine Club to be a part of what has grown into one of the most vibrant clubs for New and Young Freemasons in England.
We asked our 100th Member Bro Dean Broughton an Entered Apprentice of St Peter's Lodge why he had decided to join the club:
As a special thank you to Bro Dean for becoming our 100th member we have sent him a complimentary pair of Five of Nine Club cufflinks, enjoy!
