The Consecration of Collegiate Lodge No. 9943

  • Scarman Conference Centre University of Warwick, Coventry CV4 7SH United Kingdom (map)

You have the wonderful opportunity to witness and be a part of an amazing and rare event. On Saturday 3rd June, the Assistant Grand Master the Right Worshipful Brother Sir David Wootten, President of the UGLE University Scheme will be consecrating the new Collegiate Lodge No. 9943 in Coventry in the province of Warwickshire.

This rare and special occasion will also see the Right Worshipful Provincial Grand Master David F. Macey acting as the Installing Master, and will prove to be one of the largest gathering of Freemasons from across the United Kingdom as we all gather in Warwickshire to join in the celebration.

Brethren will have the opportunity witness this spectacle of grand pageantry and the formation of a new UGLE University Scheme lodge. The UGLE University Scheme was founded in 2005 ‘to establish and/or enhance arrangements and opportunities for undergraduates and other university members to enjoy Freemasonry’.

During the past twelve years, over 800 men have been made masons through the scheme, and they have an average age of 24 years old. The University Scheme now boasts over 55 lodges, 3 three Royal Arch Chapters, and the newly consecrated Collegiate Lodge will join the University of Birmingham Lodge No. 5628 as the second University Scheme lodge in the province of Warwickshire.

The Five of Nine Club will be well represented with our own Bro Phillips as a founding member of the Lodge, we would very much like to encourage all of the Clubs members to attend this incredible meeting.

The consecration will be held at the Scarman Conference Centre, University of Warwick, Coventry CV4 7SH, from 9:30am – 2:30pm. The cost to dine at the event will be £60.00 per head inclusive of coffee/tea on arrival, three course lunch including coffee plus afternoon tea if required.

Please contact WBro. Peter Stokes by at if you would like to attend the event or to request the booking form.
