Visit the Lodge of St. Bryde No. 579 (Scotland Part III)

  • Lodge St. Bryde No. 579 Gardenside Avenue Glasgow, Scotland, G71 7BX United Kingdom (map)

On Saturday 25th November we are heading north of the border again!

Following on from the success of our recent trips to Lodge St. Bryde No 579 in Glasgow, another trip to Scotland has been planned to watch their annual installation meeting.

We will leave early on the Saturday morning and car share or train ride (not direct) our way to the hotel, Holiday Inn Express, Strathclyde Park, Scotland (stopping for a much-needed breakfast on route). Rooms are single or double occupancy and include breakfast.

After arriving and checking in we will convene in the nearby pub before heading off to the meeting which starts at 4 pm.

The meeting and celebrations will carry on until the early hours!

You will experience first class masonry and see that the ceremony is completed totally differently to UGLE.

Not to give too much away but here the Master Elect is taken from the room to be installed and all the master masons stay in the lodge room to watch the office bearers installed (with a break for shortbread and whisky of course!).

There is a meal which is basic and afterwards, you will be treated to Scottish ‘Harmony’ and great company, the night usually runs into the wee hours!
